About
Dr Sally Davis
Registered Clinical Psychologist. BA, BA(Hons), DClinPsy
Hello there, my name is Sally Davis and I obtained my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology through the University of Auckland in 2007.
I have lived in Auckland most of my life and enjoyed working as part of a busy private practice in Mt Eden for 8 years. In May 2015 I moved to live in the beautiful Bay of Plenty full-time with my partner. My practice is now based right down at the heads in Whakatane where I look out on to Wairaka (the lady on the rock).
My experience and training has involved working with a wide range of presentations with both individuals and couples. I have a special interest in the assessment and treatment of depression, anxieties, physical injury/illness (including concussion, cancer and pain), relationship issues, couple counselling, grief, trauma, adjustment, and stress-disorders. I work with adults, older adults and couples.
My approach to therapy involves engaging with clients so I can best assess their needs and identify areas for development with an aim to improve their functioning and quality of life.
I am a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society, a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists and the Bay of Plenty branch of Registered Psychologists. I am also a member of the New Zealand Parole Board.
